The Summer Concert Series at HPR's Atherton Performing Arts Studio continues with classical violinist Patrick Galvin on Saturday, June 22. Galvin will be playing some of his newest original works, accompanied by piano. This is Galvin's debut performance at the Atherton. Galvin is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with renowned violinists Camilla Wicks and Wei He. Patrick also spent two years studying violin with Barbara Gorzynska at the Prayner Konservatorium in Vienna, Austria. He made his solo debut at age 11 with the Oakland East Bay Symphony playing the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1. Galvin plays a 1778 Castello violin, a 1959 A.E. Smith violin, and a W.E Hill and Sons bow.
