Fresh off the heels of another successful Koa Anvil Awards, PRSA Hawaii continues its series of "Lunch & Learn" talk-stories, this month featuring voices from Hawaii's print media industry. The new Entrepreneurs Sandbox in Kakaako will be our playground for the August panel, during which we'll hear insights from our local print media community, specifically those who build and work on feature publications, community stories and more. Leading our discussion will be Makana McClellan, who will moderate a panel that includes: Margie Jacinto, Senior Editorial Director, HILuxury Magazine Catherine Toth Fox, Editor, HAWAII Magazine Elizabeth Kieszkowski, Arts and Entertainment Editor, Honolulu Star-Advertiser We'll dive deep into a variety of topics to include but certainly not limited to: What makes a story resonate with publishers and reporters; Ways a pitch may stand out among the rest; Just how much lead time and background work go into a feature piece; and Examples of interesting stories or pieces that have come across the features desk in the past few months.
